Running Out...

I'm working on the v-neck cabled tank (yes, I'm STILL not done!) and the unthinkable is happening! I'm running out of yarn!!! What to do? P ray to the yarn gods... pray hard.

I HEART My Ipod

I just acquired an IPOD shuffle (yes, I'm a little behind the times), and I'm in love with it! I am equally in love with the prospect of subscribing to every knitting podcast under the sun. I've checked out a few so far, and my fave as of yet is Knitty D & the City. This is a wildly fun podcast to listen to. It reminds me of knitting with my girlfriends. Check it out - it's a must-listen.

I'm Back...

Ok, ok, so I haven't posted an entry in over a month. I've been in a bit of a knitting slump (more like a black hole!), and I haven't had much energy or desire to knit, let alone blog. This happens every year - I just can't get my act together. Probably has much to do with the winter doldrums and the anticipation of spring and warm weather. And, I've been pretty stressed looking for a new job and all. But, I've found a new job (I start on the 8th!) and I'm back and better than ever!

On my needles - I'm working on a summer tank knit in Jo Sharp Soho Summer. My vision is to have it ribbed through the bodice (so no shaping required) and to have a chunky cable running up the front from the ribbing into a V-neck. Right now, I've just started the back. Pics to come...

Time to Join the World of the Living

Okay, so I've been slacking a bit with my blog and my knitting. The case of the February Bug got me down and left me totally unmotivated to do anything except eat, veg out, and sleep. And, I've been awfully sick with a flu/sinus infection. It got nasty. Today I feel more alive than I have in quite a few days.

While on my hiatus from my life, I did end up reading two great books: The DaVinci Code. Two great books that I highly recommend picking up.

Thus, with the dawning of a new (hopefully, healthy) outlook, I've decided my best medicine would be to start a knitting project. I'm on the hunt tonight for a pattern from my stash. Nothing too fancy or difficult - I'm looking for an easy knit that I will be able to wear before the warm weather kicks in (and in Chicago, that could be as soon as next week or as late as May-June!). Til next time...
